Time Clock (functional)
Time Clock (functional)
The Time Clock Database is a good replacement for paper time cards or another digital system. It is a very basic, two-table database with a dynamic form that can accommodate up to twenty employees. A weekly report displays the hours worked by each employee for each day and the total of each employee for the week. The clock-in form is driven by command buttons that eliminate keying in numbers and would be suitable for a touchscreen. One nursery uses this database on a tablet, where it functions as a kiosk. Clocking in and out is much faster and results in fewer missed punches. For a company with ten employees, it saves the office manager about thirty minutes a week.
This database could be modified in a number of ways. It could be used on a network or in a remote location. The number of employees could be increased to meet the company's needs. Tables could be added for tracking time on various jobs. It could also be connected to the accounting software in order to automatically upload the time worked for each employee.
This is the functional version of the Plants database. There are no data or time limits, but the table designs and code are not available. It can be used with both the full version of Microsoft Access or Microsoft Access Runtime.
